How does this make you feel?

Sometimes the best discoveries happen when you least expect them. This bird appeared so quickly that I barely had time to grab my phone and capture it before the clouds shifted.

The silhouette was unmistakable - big head and a HUGE beek. It's a perfect example of pareidolia, our brain's natural tendency to find familiar patterns in random shapes. Just like the formations inthe Double Take post, this bird required that split-second recognition.

Unlike the more elaborate Sky Fox discovery, this bird was gone within minutes as the wind reshaped the clouds.

So, keep your eyes on the sky - you never know when nature will surprise you with these magical formations.
